I am talking about after Grilli and Johnson are traded, so later this year possibly. But next year Simmons could be another candidate but I don't see Withrow as one. Withrow seems more a 7th and possibly 8th inning candidate.
 
How much longer is CJ gonna be left in to ruin things for us vs righties? (Hat tip to Niners for the posting style). :)
 
I know we used a ton of players already this season, but the number of players is 49 right now. Franchise record is 50..they are gonna shatter that.
 
I've always been a bit of a Viz skeptic, but damn does he have an arm. If he's healthy and effective, he probably ought to get a shot at closing.

Agreed. The only position that isn't up for grabs is first base. Short stop is secure as well, but Simmons has to become a at least an average hitter.

He hit triple digits 6 or 7 times tonight including back-to-back-to-back twice. He also didn't go lower than 97 mph (his first pitch) with his fastball and hit 98 and 99 multiple times. That was impressive.

Yeah, it was. Probably smart to mostly stick with gas in this ballpark, too.
