Chattanooga had an 11:15 game today (I am official scorer, FYI) and at 8:30 a.m. I was knocking on doors down in Ringgold trying to sell radio packages for the upcoming season. Sorry if my attempts to make a living got in the way of your information.

Acuna is also killing it an like nscapi has said before these kids are not hackers. They have solid k/bb ratios. Thats a great sign to me at such an early age.

No home runs yet, but indications of a good power/patience combo.

Lots of doubles so far so it will come.

I'm real interested in Acuna. He is listed as a CF. Guy has 5 steals already and is hitting for a LOT of power at such an early age.

Can he stay at CF?

Me too. .893 OPS with a 10 BB/9 K start looks quite a bit like Albies last year. Doesn't have the same hit tool but a lot more power. When is it ok to start getting excited about him? Will we see him and Yepez in Danville soon, like Albies last year? Or will they go there next year, or just start in Rome?

It seems like the plan for the international top prospects will closely resemble what they did with Albies. I would expect to see both of thsoe kids get a shot in the appy league this year.

Baez was a late-signee. It's always hard to know why some guys don't sign when the international signing period starts in July, but Baez was one of the guys who was signed with the slot money that came with Vizcaino in the La Stella deal. Prado was 18 when he signed, so there are guys who don't sign at 16 for one reason or another.

Not a good start for Sims, with 5 BB in his first 2 innings. Just had a clean third, though, so hopefully he settles down.

Joseph Odom is a very intriguing prospect. Looking at his numbers, his strike out percentage has decreased every year. He's currently at around 17% this year. He is pushing around a .250 ISO after today. His BABIP is around .253, and this explains his current .248 AVG.

He is 23 in the Carolina League though.
