7/8 GDT: Atlanta Braves (41-44) vs. Washington Nationals (51-35)

Why this type of response? Camargo has been a plus since he was called up.

Unsustainable babip and still has an ops under 800.

You are a win now guy. If you want to win you don't fuss around with comargo as your starting 3b. I like the guy. He could be our primary backup at all infield spots. Srod plus comargo is the start to a big time bench. Suggesting more is silly. I think Ruiz is more likely to have enough power to be a legit guy than comargo

Trade Phillips and play camargo at 2b. Once we trade Adams or he cools off, hopefully SRod is back for 3b

SROD is at Gwinnett now and they are talking he should be back by Aug 1st (if not before).

Camargo / SRod could defintely hold down 2B if they don't want to bring up Ozzie. so trading BP should be a no brainer (if they can get anything).

If you bring up Ozzie then Camargo / Srod / Ozzie could easily hold down 2B and 3B. So trading Adams is also possible (if they can get something good).

Starting Pitching is the biggest short term need right now. If they trade Garcia (which I think they will) and/or Teheran, then they start to run short on arms. After Folty / Newcomb / Dickey...who is next?

Must trade Phillips and Garcia

Goal should be to know where srod and comargo are by the end of the year. I'd want to trade Adams and let rio play more

IMO sims should get to start after the deadline. I know medley is there too. Sims is on the 40 man iirc. We need to make a starter vs reliever

A Suzuki, Rodriguez, Santana, Camargo bench is FAR better than we've had in a long time. Add Lane Adams to that if you can get Snitker to use the pen a little more effectively, and it's a really solid bench with some pop, speed, and defense - tough to complain about.

For all the complaints about how he often handles the pen, you've gotta give Snit a little credit - he's made sure to get Freddie away from 3B in the late innings this week, and typically gets Kemp out of there when he can as well. Once you replace Brothers with Minter and one of Morris or Jackson with Vizcaino, maybe he'll become a little more trusting - even dividing the workload a little better and allowing them to go to a 7 man pen. Will the brass have to have a hand in that? Probably, but who cares?

Its a remarkable turnaround from the bench we started the season with. Bonifacio, D'Arnaud, Recker. I criticized the FO for starting the season with that bench. They deserve some praise for upgrading it. Santana was a good pickup. The Adams trade was forced on them to some extent but has turned out well. Camargo has been a pleasant surprise from AAA. And Rodriguez is also a pleasant surprise considering the prognosis a few months ago.

If we get a legit 3B this winter, a bench of Matt Adams if not traded/SRod/Santana/Camargo/Suzuki is a very good bench.
