A pitcher whose career has been largely below the radar, Zach Jadofsky, has been promoted from Rome to Lynchburg, while Matt Caffee was sent back a notch.

In 29 games for Rome this season, the right-hander out of West Florida University was a productive 6-3 with a pair of saves. He built off a strong 2012 at Danville (1.95 in 15 games). Jadofsky was signed as an undrafted free agent the week after the 2011 draft.
------------
Rangy third baseman Mike Dodig (6-4, 210) celebrated his 20th birthday last week. This week, he and his .300 average were promoted from Disney (Gulf Coast) to Danville.

Dodig was drafted in the 10th round of the 2012 draft, but hit only .174 in his debut season.

If Wood's mechanics/arm hold up, he will be a stud.

I like what I saw. He has a funky delivery though.

I think Wood has top of the rotation potential. The only concern people have that don't really watch him pitch are his mechanics. But he actually has very clean and solid mechanics. Just because your delivery is a little funky, doesn't mean they aren't good.

I know it says that one run he gave up was earned. But unless I missed something following the game I don't see how that's the case. I recall him walking the lead-off man, a passed ball by the catcher, then a wild pitch followed by a strikeout and sac-fly and strikeout. If not for the passed ball the runner is never at third to score on the fly ball. So shouldn't that be an unearned run?

Edit: I just checked and see they changed the passed ball to another wild pitch. Now the run being earned makes sense. Though I disagree with changing it.

Whatever the case, Wood pitched another very good game.
