I have heard Brett Anderson as a possible target for us and given his ground-ball rates that makes some sense. But he'll get a QO so we must have a protected pick to sign him. Further, I don't like him near as much as I like Kazmir though.
Unless they got an elite hitting prospect/player back, and/or signed one of the FA aces, makes no sense.
Both are too much of an injury risk (as compared to other available options) for us to invest in and potentially lose a 2nd round pick.
Why is Scott Kazmir too much of an injury risk? He has been healthy for years now and his velocity is very good, etc.
Swisher looked good there. Boy, I'd love for him to find his power stroke again
IIRC Swisher got his only other hit as a Brave last Saturday night. Maybe if we just play him on Saturdays...
Just this year he's had a start skipped because of his shoulder, had trouble with his triceps that caused him to leave a start early and skip a second start, not to mention his previous injury history.
I'm saying if you're going to invest money and a draft pick in someone, I would want him to be as healthy as possible.
Haha
He did go a long time without playing so hopefully he's just rusty.
That was a really bad pitch, so I will need to see more solid contact for my opinion on him to change.
