I'm excited about almost every single Sims' start. You don't always know what you'll get, but when he's on... oh man.

Gilbert Suarez with a nice outing today. He's been solid this season. I was a bit surprised he repeated the GCL.

Braves trade Gwinnett catcher Michael McKenry to Rockies, who option him to Class AAA.

I've noticed that since Roy Clark's return that the Braves have drafted a lot of big guys with big fastballs. It's not always going to work, but it's a good place to start.

I didn't know he had a 70 FB.. 22 in A ball, he needs to be tested next year though. I would hope he finishes next season with Mississippi at least.

It's not just Weigel. Clark is a hard thrower who isn't pitching very well at Carolina. Evan Phillips can hit 95. But the thing I've also noticed is that they draft physically big guys. A lot of them are over 6-2 and go between 200 and 225.

I assume (never a safe thing to do) that Weigel will move pretty fast once they are confident his fundamentals will hold up at a higher level.

4 walks for Sims. It literally makes no sense with him. His mechanics aren't

THAT weird... He commands the zone and overpowers but cannot gain consistent control

I looked for something good to post here, but there's really nothing there tonight. Really an unspectacular night

I'll go thethe on you. Some nice performances in the rookie leagues. Osuna continues to hit and Brandon S. White with his 6th save in Danville. 10 runs for the GCL team with recent addition from the DSL Luis Ovando (all of 17 years old) continuing his hot start stateside and partial return on Bethancourt Ricardo Rodriguez pushing his batting average up.

Four scoreless innings out of the Mississippi bullpen (including one by A.J. Minter whose AA ERA now sits at 0.64).

Yeah, I almost posted minter's scoreless inning, but he didn't strike anyone out. That's almost disappointing when talking about minter haha
