8/2 Game Day Thread - Atl Santana - SD Kennedy

That inning was a lot worse than it felt. Glad we tied it. Johnson is CLUTCH! .291 .324 .485 .810 before tonight with runners in scoring position.

No one.

We, meaning most of us said that CB is a good catcher but not an uber catcher based on reputation. He does some things good but some things bad on defense as well, blocking is one of them, just like Gattis, fat ass Laird is better than both of them in that department because he is that....a fat ass.

Gattis is as we all said a very mediocore catcher but can frame better than the other two, that is all.

Hitting, both of them together and you double it, will not touch Gattis.

Gattis is a DH playing the best position he can as of now, like another poster said, if we bench him, with our inept moronic manager, we would be worst.

It looks like it may get to the point where Evan will have 7-8 innings to do what he can...the after, you have sub in a defensive replacement.

I just got off work, what did he do?...

Aside from being 4 for his last 28, he took it upon himself to bunt with Gattis at 3B and Johnson at 1B. Bunted it right to Alonzo at first who just tossed it home to get Gattis. No squeeze was on.

Betcha we get the "he missed the sign" line after the game

Wait. What? ... what. He should be yelled at like no other for that.

If it was someone with a little more speed at third, I could accept it. But not with Gattis running.

This club is at the pt where there is no one to blame for some of the **** that goes on but the manager. Last night, then pulling Santana tonight for WALDEN? Let Ervin win or lose it. He's been great lately, and it's his game.

Isn't everyone comforted that we absolutely will not use our best pitcher in the 8th, 9th, 10th (etc) inning if this game is tied and a pitcher gets in trouble?
