8/2 vs pirates (kemp debut)

Folty always seems to dominate and then has one inning where things start to go wrong and he just can't keep or from going completely off the tracks. To me, that's "learning how to pitch", and is something he will figure out.

I was encouraged by Folty's start tonight. He was throwing to AJ and had Angel Hernandez behind the plate. The fact that he didn't melt down until the 6th is actually a good sign. There were a ton of times last night where Hernandez missed calls that would have previously caused Folty to lose his composure but he did a better job keeping his focus. If he could have survived the 6th he'd have had a pretty good start.

I'm not at all fustrated about Folty.

The fact he can be awesome for like 85% of his start and then have a meltdown is.not worrying. He's still young and learning how to pitch. He is learning from these mistakes and situations no doubt. He's only going to get better, which is the scary part.

I'd rather him get these growing pains during a dead season.

Wisler is the one I'm most disappointed in.

A prospect not doing well at the major league level?!!? Shocking.
