8/23/14, 7:10 EST - Beaneaters vs. Redlegs - Santana vs. Leake

I've only seen two Braves batters but has Leake been clowning us like this all night? Apparently so, looking at the box score.

Leake is not a bad pitcher. I don't know always understand how but he puts together good stretches.

I'm sorry to deface the corpse of the lineup construction horse further, but I'm nearly dumbstruck by the fact that we have three guys who don't hit or get on base much, yet they still end up hitting above sixth in the lineup.

Not that it would matter much tonight, with the Leake being taken all over us.

I don't mind Bonfacio hitting up there, but Simmons, CJ, BJ need to be 6-7-8.

Yea, I also thought Simmons needed an off day more than Heyward since just a few days ago he was falling down his hip was so bad. Plus he has played with a shoulder issue and been used too much like an iron man shortstop (though not to the extreme of Freeman with no off days). That said, I would play Gosselin at short or third the days I rested Simmons (Bonifacio can also play third on occasion when Simmons rest too though). That way between Pena, Bonifacio and Gosselin you have more range than with CJ at third.
