If we need to miss the playoffs for Fredi to go byebye I think it's worth it. I am just afraid that doing so still won't get him fired. Plus it may just cost us good players if the reaction is to trade players we shouldn't.
 
I'm glad to have Simmons just for his defense but that means you can't have guys like CJ and BJ who give you nothing as well. At the very least Wren needs to get a new 3B next season if we are going to have to go through another season of BJ.
 
The fact that Ryan Doumit was used ahead of Jason Heyward to pinch hit that inning was the single dumbest move Fredi has made all year long. There is just nothing about the move that made any sense. Heyward has more power, he could have stolen a base if he got on, so everything pointed to using Heyward.

I don't think BJ is back with the team, who knows I would revisit the trade with the Cubs just to get rid of him.

I'll take that as a complement given your track record for posts. But you seem to misunderstand the context, as I had already posted saying that I'd pinch hit for BJ Upton to start with Heyward or Gosselin, and then bat the other for the pitcher. But after the Boni double and not using them, then the situation changes dictating Heyward for Simmons as he is usually worse in that spot. If you are concerned about defense this late you shouldn't be, Pena or Gosselin could handle short if we had tied it.

What? At the very least Wren needs to get a new CF next season...Johnson is an idiot and frustrating at times, but he is much more productive than that pos hack in CF...

CJ drives me crazy with his lack of plate discipline but he contributes a lot more to this team than BJ ever does.

No CJ is the worst starting third basemen in the league apparently.
