8/25... Going for the split vs DBacks

Due to the position he plays, he can't help but be compared to Simmons who IMO was the best defensive SS I recall seeing in an Atlanta uniform. It may be an unrealistically high defensive bar for him to be held. He certainly looked solid (at least) on his play in the last inning.

I miss Not Not.

If Wisler can keep getting good movement on his secondary stuff like in that inning he'll make it at this level.

I cannot believe the graphic on the screen said "No-hitter through 6" right before he lost it.

The (admittedly just the damn worst) Diamondbacks announcers had been mentioning the ongoing lack of hits / potential no-hitter literally every batter since the start of the fifth (when I first tuned in). You could tell they both (a) believe in jinxes and (b) wanted desperately to engender the jinx tonight.

And that should be how Wisler's night ends. He's only at 91 pitches, but I think we need to let him end on that note with a fantastic start.

Swanson came into tonight with a -1 DRS in only 54 innings (SSS of course), I think after tonight it shouldn't be minus anything as he's been at his best tonight.

Wisler pitching well and dansby finally showing defensive ability has made this game worth staying up for. Really hope Teheran, Folty, and wisler finish strong.
