The smart move would be to bring Gosselin in to pinch hit. Of course in Fredi Land that means Doumit will be up there.

No it wasn't. It was an off balance swing that now has him down 0-1 because he refuses to sit back and drive the ball.

Gattis actually doesn't hit into many DP's, he has hit into only 7 now including tonight. Chris Johnson has hit into 19 for us, Simmons 18, Freeman 15 and so on. Gattis number is quite low by comparison to some others on the team. CJ and Simmons have been DP machines this year, while CJ for his career has always hit into a lot of DP's minus last year (just a fluke season in that regard among others IMO).
 
Chip and Joe's defense ratings argument falls apart when they lump Chris Johnson in as a good defender. God that whole segment was painful. Tom Hart brings the cold hard facts and they disagree because their eyes see something else.

Maybe they're just fresh in my mind because in the only Braves game I've attended in person in the past 25 years (last month) I remember Gattis hitting into a DP with the bases loaded and I thought he hit into another one in a game the Braves lost to the fish by a run.
