so if we get to gausman's spot with runners on base do we pinch hit?...I think so...pen is rested...day off tomorrow

With a day off tomorrow Snit can afford to play this game like a playoff game.

In that scenario the correct call is to get a real hitter (preferably better than Ruiz) a swing with runners on because Gaus isn’t going to be allowed to face the lineup a third time anyways.

If the pitchers spot hadn’t came up, the correct move would be to let the Marlins send up the PH for Lopez with a LHH, then counter it with a LOOGY out of the BP anyways.

This is the correct move.

I'd go with Biddle next inning. Then Venters or Winkler depending on matchups. Would be leery about using Minter in a one run game. Might be rusty.
 
And yes, it is asinine that Freeman and Markakis played every game the last 3 weeks when every younger player got several days off.
