8/26 GDT: Braves @ Rockies

Eh, the game was okay, The Braves just couldn't get that big hit. Easily could've won that game 5-3. The Swanson foul ball was weird. We were sitting on the 3rd base side and both of us thought the ball was a home run from our vantage point. Also, Freeman was safe!

Snit did a fine job with the pen.

Greene and MM were probably off today. I guess maybe go to Newk for a clean inning. But yeah, do agree it's more on the offense, they could have easily put 3-5 off of Melville.

Greene was probably available. I was surprised to see Martin in the 8th. 3rd game in 4 nights. I was expecting Jackson to come out for a second inning.

If we end up facing the Cardinals in the first round I want Julio in rotation. He pitched two strong games against them this year. You don't want him vs the Dodgers but certain teams he is really good against.

Interesting to look at Teheran's game logs for the season. When he has pitched poorly, he has pitched really poorly. I realize you can cherry-pick on everybody, but he's been solid outside the half dozen games where he's been absolutely terrible.

Julio has made 28 starts and given up 5 earned runs or more in 5 of them. He has given up 2 earned runs or less in 19 of them. I'd say he's been more than solid in those other games.
