8/28 Braves @ Giants

A pre-game conversation starts with, "well we got Bumgarner vs. Blair...who do you like in that one?"

Blair is one of the few pitchers that has never really shown anything. All the others have given an outing here or there...Blair has just not done anything to make me think he can make it.

It looks like Blair wants to set a record for home runs surrendered in a single game. He's throwing BP out there, un-effing-believable.

He's a AAAA guy. Can do fine to good in AAA, but when he faces MLB hitters it's ugly. Even many of his outs were hit hard. Heck, Dud la Cruz has shown more...and that's a statement in itself. At least Swanson and Inciarte are solid. Three prospects in the trade, you figure one is a dud....we have a winner.

Forget the minors; we should ship DeLaCruz and Blair to a "galaxy far away." You know, Tatooine or Endor or someplace like that. Gwinnett is definitely too close.

Blair was a different pitcher earlier this year. He pitched a great game against the Cubs in April. But he hit a point where he started giving up homers. There's something wrong there. He's a better pitcher than this. His stuff isn't near what we know it can be. I'm not sure if there's something wrong with his delivery or some kind of injury.

I think I might be ready to admit I was wrong about wanting to trade Freddie. If he keeps this up in future seasons I would happily just build around him.

Still salty about not trading Julio or Viz, though. (Not just due to recent struggles)

I'm kinda the same way. I think we missed the perfect (probably never happen again) window for both of them. If Freddie will hit for average...I'm a big fan. Earlier in the year though, he had me worried. Glad he's back on track.

I'm not. Glad we have Julio. This staff would blow even more chunks.

I suppose we're trying to protect swanson's confidence by not facing good pitchers. How does that work? Hey Swanson, we love you kid, but you can't face any pitcher worth a crap. Yeah, that's gotta help his confidence
