8/28 Braves @ Giants

My God this team is stupid. It's literally almost impossible to give up 3 triples in an inning. Seriously, you have to just not try to pitch well to do that.

I don't understand what Aaron Blair is supposed to be? He's clearly outmatched at this level as his era continues to push to double digits before the decimal point.

He makes Kemp look pretty svelte, so there's that.

I was looking at the Braves second half offensive stats and it was a lot better than I thought it would be. We are actually around average which is a huge step up. We are still lacking in power but being 5th in the majors in OBP in the second half is a big deal to me. Really bodes well going into next year.

Not sure why it surprised you that much. Inciarte has been hitting .350+ since the break, Markakis .300+ with a .826 OPS, Recker and Flowers combining for an OPS over .870, Garcia with an OPS over .800, Freddie with an OPS over 1.000. It's hard not to be at least average offensively with that many people going off. Most of that isn't particularly sustainable (though Inciarte and Markakis aren't nearly as bad as they were in the first half either, that should balance out next year), but it's nice to see the offense have a pulse for a change.

According to Fangraphs... Freddie Freeman has been the best first baseman in all of baseball. His strikeouts are way up, but his power is also way up and his OBP is about the same as usual if not a little better... If he's taken the next step in becoming a bonafide power hitter, that's yuge for us.

And look at that..Ender now up to .296/.339/.361 vs lefties this year. Some were far too quick to call him a platoon player.

Probably a little misleading given the way annual splits data bounce around, but still great to see.

Im not sure that he's a "platoon guy," but that is not very good. .700 OPS, 90 wRC+. It is better than his career average of .263.303/.316 though.
