8/28... phillies game 1

Sitting here listening to tweaks the phillies' pitching coach has made that's worked wonders and wondering has chuck done anything worthwhile this season

While I was glad to see McDowell leave I didn't like the hiring of Hernandez. When you see a list of the best pitching coaches in baseball Chuck is always rated poorly and there's a good reason for it.

The problem is not Snit. The problem is the organizational thought processes that lead to the hiring of Snit and every other sub-optimal move made by management.

A 9-28 start was enough to get Freddy fired. Right now Snit's 2nd half record is 14-25 and will most likely be 14-28 after Phillies. Hopefully this collapse will be enough to fire snit

Sadly Fredi wasn't even given the same talent in that 9-28 as Snitker has been given this second half.

I personally believe that Snitker has cost this team at least 10 wins this season. And that is low end, it could be closer to 15.

He just has really shown to be incompetent as a manager. Good for the clubhouse, keep him as a roaver or bench guy. But he cannot manage next season

Hernandez needs to be gone. I heard on the game today we have given up over 40 hits to the opposing teams pitchers...and something like 16 were RBIs....you have to be kidding me

On the Snit thing, I don't beleive we ever intended on bringinh him back, but the good 2nd half made it looks as though it was due to him, so they felt they needed to give him a token season. I think Ron Washington may be given a chance next year.

I like the K's and more use of his offseapped stuff by Sims. I'm thinking this is a trade audition, so I'm hoping he can put together some good starts ovre the next month.

I know we wouldn't have 70+ wins at this point.. but I have no doubt that this team would be better under a competent manager. Sniker can't manage a 162 game season. He has no clue on rest or pitching management. He can't figure out strategic maneuvering or advance metric and relies on his gut to make critical calls.
