8/31 - Braves @ Red Sox, #MyAce Edition

Got to give kids a chance. Especially ones that have proven they can make adjustments

Just becuase some point out the negatives about one of our players, it doesnt me we are happy about it. I bet Enscheff would love if Riley became Glaus etc

I want to believe in Riley. I don’t. But I want to.

Maybe aa will set up another Gwinnett showcase so we can see folty throwing the heat and his slider bitting.

Its the idea of writing him off and not giving him a chance. It mainly stems from the people who drafted him and those on this forum who don't like them.

Why deny this isnt part of it?

Riley to me looks like he is seeing the ball better out of the putchers hand. Therr are less wasted swings. He is going to swing and miss a lot still but he doesn't look overmatched anymore.

Does that mean he becomes the monster he was in the minors? Probabaly not but I dont think we need to shop for a third baseman [or left fielder] for 2021.

I think it was his absurd contact rate on pitches in the zone. Not who drafted him.

Good job by Fried. That's one of the marks of a really good pitcher. He didn't have his best stuff tonight or command, but he made adjustments and put us in a good position to win.
