SHORT-SEASON

All idle

We can't say it enough but every day there are always a couple of starters that make you scoreboard watch. I'd like to see Newcomb and Allard end the season on a high note. Both have really pitched awesome lately.

Newcomb slipped back into bad habits last start. I would like him to go 7 today.

The Braves' system took Ricky Bobby's "if you're not first, you're last" saying far too literally this year.

I've wondered for awhile now what is going on in the IL where a 64-75 team could be leading it's division. Is everyone in the other division 80-50?

Clouse and Minter could bring back the days of EOF and Venters. I think relievers are interchangable and would be fine trading any of ours but these 2 guys.

I agree. A backend pen of Minter and Clouse as set-up guys and Cabrera as the closer would be the making of a great pen.

Exactly what's happening. The Braves would be 6th in the North. 3 teams have 80 wins.

Obviously mallex has no business at AA. He's hitting .833 so far in 2 games. Move him to Gwinnett or Atlanta

I like how Mississippi and Rome have both basically become everything we hoped the farm would be.

Newcomb is looking filthy. And yeah Mallex, Albies, and Peterson are destroying it tonight. Albies should start the season in Atlanta no doubt.

If that's the plan with Albies, I hope he gets some time in Atlanta this year
