9/23 GDT: Braves go fishing one more time

you guys want to know what is really cool. in the 17 home games since Dansbys call up... Avg attendance is up by 5,327 a game.

interesting..

look at the effect bryce harper had on the gnats lineup the year he was drafted

Good call. But does that mean Anderson is a flop since he didn't protect his 2017 rotation mates? Or am I misunderstanding protection as it applies to the rotation?

That is cool.

I'm thinking of driving to Atlanta to see them play Philadelphia. I'll probably go to the collmenter start... dude just knows how to get teams out

it works differently with pitchers

Modern day baseball analysis is too confusing. Think I'll just stick with judging hitters by BA and RBIs, and pitchers by Ws. I'll go ahead and judge defense by how many diving plays a guy makes. That's a lot easier than trying to wrap my head around anything more complex.

easily 10 to 15 million... probably will pay for Swanson's entire contract extension.

Swanson has single-handedly paid for his own contract! Obviously the team playing much better, Kemp's arrival and Freeman's surge (powered by Kemp's protection) had nothing to do with increased attendance.
