Fredi maximized the most out of what he had the first few months.

The roster he's working with now is pretty lulzworthy.

Rotation is awful right now because of inexperience, not to mention how lulzworthy this bullpen is too.

See? If Donald says it, it's so.

If managers weren't held accountable for results despite injuries, players that didn't play well, players that stopped playing well, pitchers that stopped pitching well, and pitchers that didn't pitch well, no manager would ever be fired.

I don't think fredi should be fired for this year. I just thought it was incredibly dumb to extend him when we did. It wasn't like GMs were lining up to come steal fredi

Right. It doesn't.

When Matt Wisler is bisecting the plate with 0-2 meatballs and we're playing an International League lineup because they've dealt everybody with a pulse, I'm thinking whoever is managing the club has no shot.

Isn't the lineup pretty much better than what we expected coming into the season?

Beth/AJ

Freeman

Peterson

Simmons

Olivera (the magical upgrade)

Markakis

Maybin

Swisher (upgrade over Gomes)

This is the lineup that Hart wanted to go to ball with from day one, with actual slight improvements

Yeah, that was his easy-girl-at-the-dance lineup. They suck, too.

Doesn't much matter when you're down 9-1 in the third. Every day.

Agreed. The pitching sucks. But this the same offense that half the board was cheering as a resounding success at the beginning of the year... with addition of Olivera

I was thinking that. With Olivera in the majors now, the lineup out there on a nightly basis is close to what we will be running out there next year.

I think the big strategic mistake the front office has made is underestimating how scarce impact bats have become relative to pitching. We should have made every effort to keep one of Heyward or Justin Upton on a long-term basis. If we had done that the outlook for 2016, 2017 and beyond would be much better.

We're last in mlb in runs scored. It's not like we're only losing bc of pitching

Surely we upgrade catcher, find a rh platoon to pair with jace, and a FA outfielder.

Here's what I expect this offseason:

1) AJ brought back to play catcher at about 5M/year

2) Mid-rotation FA starting pitcher signed at 15M/year

3) A couple bench/bullpen pieces signed at 5-10M/year

Total cost 20-25M. This leaves 5-10M of wiggle room for aquisitions in spring training and the regular season. If we are punting we could take on salary in deals like the Bronson Arroyo trade.

LOL... I need thethe to assure me we're ready to win it all in 2016

Third fewest Ks in MLB! Mission accomplished.

I'm sure being last in runs scored is a fluke and will level out by the end of the year.

Yeah its unsustainable. We're about to go on a torrid offensive pace and Markakis will end with double digit homers.

Olivera been up for 2 games and he never played well???? Give me a break..

Its really odd to see the levels that Harper gets pitched around. I can understand it when there was no one behind him in the lineup, but right now he has one of the hottest hitters in baseball hitting behind him and pitchers don't even come close to the plate.

Harper's a bit of a chucklehead (to an old guy like me anyway), but he is effin' good. I can hardly wait to see the Yankees' OF when Heyward is playing RF and Harper is playing LF.

Harper would put up huge numbers there. Heyward may even hit 20-25 hr's

Who's in center? That is one hell of an OF
