A New Generation Of Carays

Please no.
I loved Skip, Harry was ok but a legend and I respected that but Chip is dollar general level replacement Caray.
I’ll give his sons a shot but if they talk about UGA as much as the Braves like the old man, I’ll pass.
I know a lot of you are middle age like myself but if you want to hear what a great play by play man sounds like YouTube some of Skips Hawks games.
He was a great baseball announcer but I was always convinced he was a better basketball play by play man and his sense of humor will never be replicated.

I will never prematurely judge someone based on who their family is. I will give these kids a chance and hope that they turn out better than their father.

The guy who did Play by Play for the NLDS and NLCS was great. Really iconic calls

Brian Anderson.

He was the Milwaukee Brewers full time guy. But he's grown his national profile with Turner. He does NBA playoff games on TNT as well.

I really miss the days of Skip Caray, Pete Van Weiren, and Don Sutton. We had the best announcers for radio and TV, hands down, no questions asked.

More recently, Jim Powell was a phenomenal announcer, although he has gone down to doing a few games a season for some reason.

It may be an unpopular opinion, but I really liked Jon Miller on the old ESPN broadcast.

Chip and Jordan together make the game almost unwatchable. Feels like they are making stuff up so they have something to talk about.

Jordan is awful.

I’m in the minority but I don’t mind Chip and Frenchy, especially Frenchy he is a really good color commentator.

I think Frenchy has developed into a pretty good color guy. Chip says a lot of stuff to try to sound like an expert on hitting.... He isn't.

Jordan tries to use old school wisdom and he is often just wrong.

I feel compelled to mention Ernie Johnson (Sr.), because he was my favorite of the 80s/90s TBS crew.

Skip, Pete, Ernie, Don... those were the golden age of Braves announcing. What a treat it was to have voices we loved so dear.

I love listening to Jon Miller. On the west coast I catch as many Giants games as I can, and honestly I love all the Giants announcers to boot.
