A Note About Thursday Afternoon’s Game In DC

Well, the season seemed to go downhill a bit after the first Facebook game. Maybe it'll rebound after this one.

This morning I saw a GMA segment:

pop star says on social media that people should consider the feelings of pregnant women (even when giving their friends what they think are compliments) when they comment on their appearance. Pop star's friend told her: your butt and hips are filling out, you look great. Pop stars says she cried for 30 minutes afterwards. Now she's out raising awareness.

A damned whole segment where everyone was evidently taking this extremely seriously.

I have finally figured out how old people get out of touch.

that didn't make a clear connection so:

When the hell did it become a national scandal that an announcer said a 19 year old looked older than that and made a joking reference to something that used to be common.

Or for that matter when he suggested people should dress more appropriately when making public appearances in their profession.

Dear Lord, disagree. Fine. have a nasty back and forth. It does not amount to a scandal. It's not actually worth talking about seriously.
 
They have done this a handful of times in the MLB this season. It’s across other sports as well. That Minnesota-Alabama basketball last year where it was a 5 on 3 game was a Facebook only game. It’s really stupid and annoying.
