About that ammo shortage..

Jaw

It's OVER 5,000!
7 million new gun owners, with a conservative estimate of 100 rounds each, adds up to 700 million rounds of additional demand.

I had considered the standard panic over the possibility of a Democrat being elected President, and the preparation buying caused by the riots, and the precautionary purchases that came with the initial COVID outbreak. I hadn't thought about the additional demand caused by 7,000,000 new gun owners.

I just wish I'd been smart enough, and wealthy enough, to invest in guns and ammo by the truckload before the election so that I could retire on an island somewhere from the profits from this "panicdemic".

These kinds of "buying opportunities" present themselves on a regular basis.

Too bad those types of "money opportunities" don't. :/

Too bad I don't have a son-in-law who set me up with a shell corporation to siphon off hundreds of thousands of dollars in campaign money for my own personal use....

sounds like you need to work on your entrepreneurial chops

The trend of plastic fantastic guns started by Glock and emulated by everyone else has changed things a little bit, but guns are pretty much always a good investment. A couple of examples are the two most popular entry level pistols, S&W Shield and Taurus G2C. Shields were available for $250 at the end of last year and generally $400+ when you can find them now. G2Cs were everywhere at $180 and are normally $300 now. 9mm target ammo was <20¢ per round. I normally see it at 60-80¢ when I can find it now. $10k invested right a year ago could have easily turned into $25k today. And worst case scenario is the price doesn't appreciate for a while and you're stuck with a ton of guns and ammo. Oh darn.

When I could find ammo i immediate bought the stock of SWBI and VSTO.

The stuff was really flying off the shelves of my favorite arms/ammo place down here. .223 ammo for my AR-15 has been in short supply and higher in price for months now. I have quite a bit of it though and quite a bit of ammo for all my other guns. If I can't get all of them with what I have now, then either my aim has gotten way worse or there's a hell of a bunch of them.

Padding your portfolio via weaponry is so MAGA

I have a friend whose child was a student at Sandy Hook.

Addicts overdose with hypodermic needles all the time. Many more people die that way than with guns. Is your portfolio clear of medical supply companies?

are you advertently or inadvertently equating gun culture to drug addiction ?

to my knowledge, last check, yes, no medical supplies.

Hypodermic needles too save lives, counter bee stings, prevent flus and administer pain relief to people daily.

also work in situations where one must judiciously apply adherents .

and be can used to feed day old squirrels if necessary

I hate to make money off my fellow countrymen exercising their 2nd amendment rights.

I feel so terrible about that

Handguns are used for self defense multiple times every day, saving lives all across the country. If I'm not naked I have a gun on me. Oddly, it hasn't harmed anyone yet.

If I remember correctly you are concerned about the environment. How many thousands of government issued hypodermic needles do you think make their way from the streets of San Francisco to poison the Pacific ocean each month?

A bunch of people living in fear it seems

Weird, that a certain person doesn’t talk about that with this topic
