Let’s be real. This wasn’t where the season was lost….it’s been on life support. This just pulled the plug. It could be a blessing in disguise, because although we were not winning anything this year….AA would probably not sell (because of perception), and instead would have made smaller moves to “appear” we were trying.

This gives AA his excuse to do what needs to be done.

The more I think about it, I think AA is gonna go get a bat and a reliever. I think both will be guys that we'll control next season. I don't think we can afford to punt this season bc we really need to keep butts in the seats.

ETA... or AA may bring Contreras and pache back up and just play them.

Really expensive time to make those additions unless the price happens to be low.

Remember, there is also likely to be a strike.
 
The team has two choices:

Be all bummed out and let it cause them to play themselves out of the postseason race

or

Use this as a rallying point and get things going in the right direction

Yeah the one guy who was the spark to get a dead team to wake up and rally is now on one leg.

I just think after losing fan revenue last year, the business side of this could over rule a good baseball decision of punting

When ozuna is healthy, can we activate him and force mlb to suspend him? At that point, can the braves get out this year's salary?

Or C: Suck even more ass because they’re bereft of talent thanks to injuries.
 
My guess is that Pache will get called up. As much as some of us would rather see Waters, he's likely not ready. I would guess Heredia moves to RF and we get treated to a CF platoon of Inciarte and Pache.

I would also guess Arcia moves to the leadoff spot.
