The biggest difference in picking 2 or 5 isn't so much the player. It's the 2+ million in draft bonus pool that's given up.
True, good point.

I don't know about you but I'd much rather Nick Senzel than Ian Anderson

Don't worry. Braves had Anderson as the top pick in the draft. Whoever they pick at #5 will be the top pick in this years draft too.

I can't believe how many games we won in 2009.. I mean how dumb was it not to tank to get Harper.. In fact I think we should start scouting middle schools so we know what years we need to tank.
I know you're joking... but surely you understand the difference between fighting for the playoffs and and winning 67 games instead of 68.
Seriously - if I'm Coppy, I'm DEMANDING that SNIT play folks like Ruiz a lot... and give Aaron Blair more starts, and give Freeman some rest.
But instead, we played every game like it was game 7
True, good point.
Unless it's senzel vs ian anderson
A professional organization should never try to lose.
A professional organization should never try to lose.
So you would advocate for starting Albies over Brandon Phillips, then?
And hell, maybe Acuna over Markakis?

They were pretty candid in admitting they wanted Senzel.
That is not the same scenario as purposefully starting a bum in September to lose a game. I mean why not call up the the whole GCL team and play them?
