Ronald is getting a bit more respect these days. Cameron ranked him 2nd overall behind Vladdy Jr. in his chat today.

Since the dawn of the new millennium, 19 players have posted a 30/30 season.

The youngest to do it was Mike Trout at age 20. The rest are in the 25-30 age range.

Alex Rodriguez posted a 40-40 season at age 23 in 1998.

Although looking at age and levels and just plain raw numbers... not sure how Vladdy can be ranked ahead of him either.

Yeah. Ronald's raw numbers are Troutian. I guess the whole idea of another Mike Trout bursting onto the scene is just so unlikely people are banking on it not happening, which I understand. But the numbers are undeniable.

Ronald at 19 in AAA: 90 PA, .325 avg, .379 BABIP, 22.5 PA per HR, 8.9% BB%, 20% K%, .393 OBP, .575 SLG, .968 OPS, .424 wOBA, and 169 wRC+.

Trout at 19 in AA: 412 PA, .326 avg, .390 BABIP, 37.5 PA per HR, 10.9% BB%, 18.4% K%, .414 OBP, .544 SLG, .958 OPS, .421 wOBA, and 156 wRC+.

And the thing about Ronald is he keeps improving:

A+ K%: 31.7%
AA K%: 23.0 %
AAA K%: 20.0%
Last 10 days in AAA K%: 17%

I love it. Keep us up to date SJ.

Just had another 8-pitch at bat. Count was full and the ump rung him up on a pitch that was a borderline strike.

The Ronald Acuña Show has arrived in Charlotte. Facing highly-touted prospect Carson Fulmer tonight.

The kid is 19 in AAA.

I keep expecting him to hit a wall and he just doesn't. The kid is elite

He kind of did for a stretch in June in AA, than found a second wind after their all star break and has only done this since then (across AA/AAA and not including today):

.344/.398/.610

Amazing.

I speculate that the big league brass have ordered Ronald to stop stealing bases in the lower levels so he doesn't get injured.

He hasn't attempted one in a while.
