Not sure what happened to Ajax this season in terms of him missing so much time. He hit with a lot of power and some reviews of his defense were positive. He's the next guy after Acuna that I think can move real fast (along with Pache).

All this talk of thanking Dave Stewart for the rebuild when in 5 years we might be thanking the Mariners GM all the same.

I feel like him catching makes that a tough thing to agree with. Even if he's getting positive reviews behind the plate, there's usually too much to learn to receive at a ML level for him to cruise through the system like Acuna.

And we gave up NOONE close to Sheby’s value (at the time of the trade). To me Coppy did his best work on these smaller under the radar type trades. His big trades (taking them all as a whole), were average at best. In fact, take the Shelby trade out and they were below average.

Take the Shelby trade and the guys Wren left behind out of the equation and the entire rebuild is below average.
