Alberto Callaspo Possibly Being Traded

I don't know. DOB just tweeted the Dodgers gave him 100k

I see that now, hmm. The original tweets I saw said the Braves did. So maybe both did or maybe they split the cost?

I think both teams might've chipped in, but not sure. Not imp't, considering how relatively small the sum was

@Think_BlueLA
@DOBrienAJC @truebluela @uuallace Friedman said yesterday that money came from the Braves, not the Dodgers.

PS: After reading the Dodgers side it sounds like DOB was just mistaken. DOB saying "not sure" suggests that too.

I can't read Callaspo's mind and maybe he did like his teammates, but imo, the tax thing was the true sticking point and I'm guessing his agent was the one who pointed out that he would lose 100k or so. And I don't blame the agent or Callaspo for doing it.

Yea, it was probably mostly about money.

Andrew Friedman quite likes LHP Ian Thomas. Said he’s tried to acquire him for months. Said his “floor is as a good major-league reliever

Y'all guess Friedman regrets that quote just a little bit since Ian was shelled for 6 earned on 8 hits (2 bombs) in 2.1 IP this afternoon???

No.

PS: I did find it interesting Thomas still got a win in the game. PCL games can be crazy that way sometimes.
