Didn't realize he was still around in 2009.

If Swanson had slow at speed, he'd have no problem hitting the slider.
The main question is..... how did Graffanino's hair compare to Swanson's hair?
I thought his LHH swing looked a little slow in his second game up. He wasn't able to touch average-ish heat that was right there. It was better though in the one PA I saw after that game, even though he struck out, he gave me hope that if given the chance he could smack a high heater.
Even if it hasn't had major results...yet his RHH swing looks much better.
I think this is a pretty good observation. You want emotion and body language? wait until you see Albies and Acuna together if you haven't already. That being said, GeorgiaGirl, I think on the plate appearances you describe in his LH swing was a result of guessing, not slow. His bat gets to the zone better than some of the guys we have already. He's another guy like Acuna in that a ball can get deep in the zone on them and they are so quick barrel wise that it plays to their strengths. He's also struck out on a couple questionable calls. I actually find it encouraging he took those pitches. The umps do learn which players have a good eye. As a young player though, he's got to adhere to the etiquette of body language when an ump rings him up.
