It never made any sense to tie politics to sporting events. Not sure why everyone feels like everything has to take a political stance nowadays....even something as silly as terrible light beer.

It's all about being an early adopter of that day's virtue signal. Better to be first than correct.

As if these corporations give a rat's ass about any political point of view anyway. If they're taking a stance it is because someone in the C-suite was convinced that taking that position would help sales and/or increase shareholder value.

This is nothing more than modern day Jim Crowe, specifically targeting areas that "just so happen" to be majority Black. It is laughably transparent, and the only people defending are the same people who have defending the same deplorable sides of arguments the last 5+ years. They are either ignorant, or complicit...there are no other options.

I'm proud of MLB for telling the scumbags in the South this is unacceptable.
