An interesting article about moves that need

I think we should go with manager by committee. Every time they make a move we dont like they get fired and we bring in a new one.

SS a huge question mark???

I understand Swanson isn't a perfect player, but he'll probably end the season as a 3-4 player (or better). Not exactly how I'd describe a huge question mark.

And dude lost all credibility when he said we need to hire a manager who can match up to Gabe Kapler tactically.

Also why is SS an issue? Swanson is quite good. Sure he isn't a world beater, But we're talking about average for a SS offensively and well above average defensively. He's a good player.

I think left side of the infield generally is a question mark...that wht I would trade for someone like Solarte who could help beyond this year

A question mark is not how I would describe SS. I think you can book on Swanson being a consistent 2-3 WAR player or better for his remaining controllable years.

3b is a bit of a question mark, but Camargo seems perfectly capable of being a placeholder until Riley gets here (hopefully sometime in 2019).

I feel fairly comfortable with Swanson and Camargo on the left side right now as starters. But I do agree that a trade for someone like Solarte would add a lot. It would buy us some insurance for both players in case one of them gets hurt or underperforms. It would give us a good bat to turn to late game. A spot starter. A guy who can also play outfield/2nd/1st in an emergency. A switch hitter with a little power. He would just be an excellent addition, even if we just pick him up as a utility guy

I do like Solarte and if no Beltre I wouldn't mind adding him.

Iwant Snits gone. But that wont happen while ATL is in first place.

BP? Yeah. Probably the biggest need. SS? Nah. 3B? Sure.

What 3B beyond Machado would be an obvious upgrade over Camargo? The likely candidates all seem to be lateral moves at best.

Probably true. I do prefer Carmago as a super sub type than an every day guy i guess. Escobar from the Twins should be available but hes a slight upgrade i guess not a major upgrade.

The idea is to add someone who hits LHers a bit harder than Camargo. A small upgrade no doubt, but a cheap and easy one to make.
