Angels close to acquiring Kyle Kubitza from Braves

I wonder how many people were predicting a SF/KC world series this year

KC could have easily had just as many wins this year as we did. A lot went their way, and it went their way even more in the playoffs.
I'm mostly talking about luck. They were pretty freakin' lucky. All year. They probably won't make the playoffs next year.

Yeah ya'll would have been happy to go for it and still not make the playoffs.

yeah sure say that now but if it actually happened most everyone would have been saying "I knew they should have started the re-build" blahblahblahblah

The Giants won 76 games in 2013 and went on to win the world series in 2014. They didn't add many significant pieces other than maybe Tim Hudson (but they lost Matt Cain to injury)

The Braves won 79 games last year.

Maybe San Fran should have traded Posey and Pence after 2013. Clearly they had reached their ceiling with those guys.
Oh wait, what?

Let's compare a team that won 2 world series to the Braves. Sure thing.

Without looking it up, I'd wager the Braves won more games from 2010 to 2013 than the Giants.

Unless you think there is a "clutch" factor in the playoffs, you're just wrong.

Wait, a "team"? Or franchise?
Because the Giant's teams weren't the same when they've won. And they were soooo amazing that they won 76 games in 2013.

The team was proven. Braves didn't prove anything. Just a dumb comparison. At the time that was a multiple world series winning team and you're comparing breaking up that team to a Braves team that hasn't won a playoff series in forever. Makes no sense.

There were several key players still on the roster. It's a horrible comparison l. Just another example of fans over rating the Braves core.

So the Giants are extra clutch in the playoffs. Right.

LOL ok guy... one of the dumber things you've posted in a while. And that's saying something

And we replace him with a guy who hit .276. Which is a whopping difference of 6 hits over 500 ABs. SEASON SAVED!!!!

Where have I said Markakis was a savior of anything? He is here to fill a need. A need NONE of us ever see.

Its goes to show you want a good defensive RFer goes for. Not what Heyward is thinking he is worth.

Obviously the team has somrthing since they've won 3 of the last 5 world series. Proof is in the trophy case whether you want to acknowledge it or not.

SF Giants won 436 games in the 5 years prior to last year.

Atlanta has won 449 games in the past 5 years.

So unless you'll pulling the "clutch" gene, what the heck is your point?
