Another Early Start - GDT 10/6/2013: ATL (Julio TEHERANOSAURUS!) @ LA (Ryu) Game 3

Then what was Hale's purpose? I thought Wood was supposed to be situational lefty since Downs didn't get in.

Wood is the situational lefty, but would you trust David Hale over Alex Wood to bridge the gap to the late innings relief core? You guys blame Fredi for leaving Julio in there too long, god forbid Hale gets into any trouble and Fredi doesn't want to burn too many arms.

Hale's purpose is, Maholm sucks and Freddy Garcia is the 4th starter.

Maholm has been great at home and great against lefties (home and away). Also great against first batters faced. Maholm should've been on the team, especially if you aren't going to use Hale.

You guys are bitching about Garcia and maybe he will stink, we don't know, but I can tell you one thing, he will not be in awe of the circumstances unlike Medlen and Teheran.

If this is all true about Hale, it was incredibly stupid to put him on the roster.

Well, if we don't rally, and Garcia doesn't put up a competent effort tomorrow, we'll be using him anyway with the season on the line. If you don't have enough confidence in someone to bridge the gap, don't put him on the roster.

We can debate roster moves all day, Fredi isn't the lone decision maker. I'm sure he had plenty of input from everyone and the coaching staff and Frank Wren. They all sat at a table and picked the likely roster scenarios.

we're ****ed. they're crushing the ball, hanley is killing us. we can't hit anything deep or hard. we're done.

Exactly, but some people on here will lead you to believe otherwise.
