Another School Shooting Today

Again. Why do you only bring up gun control when white kids are the victims?

Not a peep from you or any liberal about the kids in Chicago that get shot on a weekly basis.

This is gonna sound racist but maybe because the white kids parents are working and not around very often. Allows the outcast kids to not get much social interaction and become locked inside themselves where they begin to hate the world. Black kids seem to grow up in households with more people. The parents are more likely to be loud with more personality. Doesn't leave much room to become depressed. So black kids are able to verbally defend themselves better as well as physically since they are more physically gifted. Instead of shooting up the school, they just go and whoop the ass of whoever might be trying to bully them. Where the white kid feels more defenseless so the only option in his mind is a gun.

ah, is this where the gun people and right wing tries to act like they give a **** about black kids shooting each other?

i mean, shouldn't you and the NRA be in that area giving out more guns? I mean, that would make all that stop cause the only thing that will stop a bad guy with a gun is another gun, right?

i would say the biggest factor is that we have easy access to guns

I have a surefire way to stop school shootings, ban schools. Problem solved.

The reason we have these shootings is because of the attention it gets the shooter. I know it sounds stupid to a rational person but these kids see the coverage other shootings get.

Everyone knows that's a problem. Everyone knows it's a dangerous environment. A lot of it is drug related, which brings in a whole different discussion of how poorly we've dealt with drugs over the years. We need to fix that, too. More guns certainly don't help that cause.

There is a lot of truth in there.

I remember my little brother playing on varsity, some of the seniors wanted to haze him until I showed up, but he had them already cowering in the corner as he took one of the barbell rods and wacked one of them with it. I had to calmly tell him to put it down or he would get in trouble. He did, but the other seniors did not mess with him from then on, calling him crazy and someone you don't want to turn your back on.

We don't get bullied that is for sure. We always have older and bigger friends to "deal" with the situation.

Too many times we say after school and they show up with their friends, but mine are all there waiting with car jacks (older type that is probably the most deadly of weapons you can have), lead pipes or 2/4's. No guns are knives allowed, that was the rules. Nothing happened, ever.
 
We don't know their names or their skin color or economic status.
3 students randomly shot in library at midnight ... gunman killed by police.

This is nuts --
 
We have got to find out why people do this. Never in a million years would I have ever thought to resort to this if I had been frustrated. Is it parenting? The fame? Meds all messed up?
 
Classes were all cancelled for today. I've taken a number of courses the past few years and have made student friends- Facebook etc. To say the very least the students are freaked the **** out
