Good question. If it cost a non-elite arm (as others have mentioned) - say a Gant/Jenkins/etc. - I'd have no problem with that.

Still Say about markakis that he's earned his salary so far, his power has mostly returned and second half of contract could be equal or better.
Flowers is back unless they want to eat his second year, but he's totally not a good starting catcher. He's been lucky with bat.
Don't know why anyone would be reluctant to trade Ellis or viz if it brought back a nice player.
