Politically, if they distance themselves from Antifa now then they are fine. Anyone who attaches themselves to antifa going forward risk supporting a group that at some point will likely commit murder.

Nothing matters. Trump didn't distance himself from the KKK and won. Nothing matters politically except the R or D next to your name and how well you can sell yourself.

You and I know what's going on, but I think this gives them an out if things escalate. It's good because it makes it less likely things will escalate even if the motive is unpure.

Unfortunately too many people from the left and the media gave these terrorists a platform of support which has fueled their energy, popularity, and tenacity to disrupt any thing they can.
