Legan legally purchased the rifle on July 9 in Nevada, where he is believed to have been living with family members, officials said. He is originally from Gilroy.

The suspected gunman posted two photos to Instagram on Sunday, including one just minutes before shots rang out at the festival, according to The Associated Press. One photo showed Smokey Bear in front of a sign that read “fire danger.” Legan’s caption included a reference to “Might is Right,” a 19th-century book that present-day neo-Nazis and white supremacists use to promote misogynistic and anti-Semitic ideas

Antifa huh ?

"Of course, conservatives have to condemn Antifa because

they'd lose a big percentage of their base of inbred mutants

and anxious pig****ers if they said, 'You know what?

I'm anti-fascist. Cut this Nazi **** out.'"

Sounds like a very tolerant person

I would call Antifa silly if it wasn't for all the felonies they're brazenly committing.

Ultimately, you don't defeat Nazi morons by hurling potentially deadly objects at them. You defeat them though marginalization and ridicule. Engaging them in this manner just inflames the situation and drives people to their cause.

By resulting to physical violence you're actually lending legitimacy to the Nazis. Gathering around to mock them and laugh at them would be so much more devastating.

I’m interested to know who you think the guys on the bus were and what they were there to do.

Ensuring the people on the bus were conducting themselves in a legal manner is a job for the authorities. Not mobs of masked people hurling things.

It's possible to both despise what Nazis stand for and advocate for everyone to be able to peaceably assemble and demonstrate without the threat of violence breaking out.

Ok, that’s fine. I’m just tired of the framing that’s being presented in this post. I’m not shedding tears over anyone who comes looking for a fight and finds one. I don’t like the violence, either. But I am bothered by making victims out of neo-Nazi white supremacists (and that’s what the bus was full of) who shipped in from out of town looking for a fight and found one.

If you—and by you, I guess I really mean sturg—think that these people are doing anything other than looking for a fight, I question why they don’t act on their devotion to the values of “free speech” and just march without weapons and body armor, etc? If the violent conflict isn’t what it’s about, why aren’t they just doing what the freedom riders did or what the lunch counter protestors did?
