Arcia to IL

GRissom isn't horrible right now. His slugging is wildly low. And I think it will change drastically.

I don't think anyone is doubting his skills. But when Arcia returns, Grissom is going to be without a spot.

Rather than sit on the bench with rare chances to get in the game, it's better for him to go to Gwinnett, get at bats daily, and be ready next time we need him.

Did not say he was horrible. Said he's not ready.

I see folks talking about putting him at DH. I know he's better than Ozuna but that is a low bar.

He's too talented to waste development. He's not hitting well enough to be a DH. He needs to play every day in AAA. Shewmake can be a utility guy.

I don't think these guys are great hitters but TDA, Rosario and Hilliard are better options at DH than Grissom. I bet we can find a RH bat that is better than him right now.

We will probably usher in the era of Solak tomorrow versus the lefty. His one game sample size will be enough to decided to keep him or send him back down.

I think I mentioned it in a different thread, but I seem to recall that the Braves were after Solak in a deal way back when. It may have been before Anthopoulos or in Anthopoulos' first year. Interesting acquisition although he's starting to look like a standard AAAA guy.
