Arcia up

I have no idea why anyone would want to trade a good player for Swanson, or Newcomb for that matter, right now. And aside from Swanson's performance, it's hard to imagine the Braves trading him as much as they like to market him.

If he's lightning in a bottle for a couple of weeks, it would be a nice boost. Bottom half of the order is just so putrid. That said, I'm not expecting much long term except he's probably a better pinch-hitting option that Adrianza and Panda.

They wouldn’t. Pewpew just spewed out a typical casual fan trade proposal of our garbage for another teams valuable players. Then used the “my opinion” defense.

We all know it’s not happening.

It’s painful reading posts on places like Fb. Almost like they don’t realize Camargo is just as “hot in AAA”, and we all know how good he is.

Probably AA's last-gasp effort at trying to shake things up from within. If he can get hot for a couple weeks (like when Almonte came up), maybe he gives Waters time to get hot so you can use him in a deal for an actual difference-maker.

Not much else he can try at this point - calling Waters or Pache up certainly isn't an option right now.

I think they moved him because Swanson is there and isn't going anywhere and there's a need in the OF.

If Swanson were to get hurt he'd probably fill in.

The point is Arcia is not an acceptable option for an offensive position like LF.
 
Arcia came into 2021 with 4.047 years of service time. He’s a FA at 5.172 years of service time, and if he stays up the rest of the year will end 2021 with something like 4.150 years of service time. I suspect he was down in AAA just long enough for the Braves to gain control over his 2023 season.
 
Please get a catcher that has a pulse with the bat in his hand. Contreras and Smith are @$$ platoon.

I'd rather. I think Arcia may be an injection of energy of nothing else. He looks good. Even when I saw him in gwinnett. I don't think he's any worse than Dansby. Not saying much.

Sir, I don't want to make fun of someone's grandpa, having just made my own father one not very long ago, but this amongst the very worst trade proposals I've ever seen. You might as well have thrown in Inciarte. Gallo would run you at minimum two actual prospects.

Without looking at Gallo's season, and acknowledging that I hate players like Gallo, the trade prices discouraged folks are putting on players seems a little high.
