ellis should have started that all star game like i said back in mid summer. instead he was rushed to AAA and hasn't gotten anybody out since. being the all star game starter may have changed nothing for chris in the long run, but if nothing else, it would have given him one more thing to cling to as he struggles and looks to regain confidence.

Michael Mader is only pitching short stints in the Puerto Rican League. A little early to read much into that since they may have just sent him down there to work on one or two things/pitches, but it does make one wonder if he could be a candidate for our pen in the not-so-distant future.
 
I'm really excited about TD's potential, but the 0-9 with 4 K's in the last 2 games shows he's going to need some time. His attitude about it is great though.
