Of course not but I think it shows that he has that ability but he just still has a long ways to go in terms of development. Sure he is 27 but he is the equivalent of a 21 year old in terms of baseball skills.

I can cotton the A's for the most part (hate the dugout and on-field celebratory antics), but I don't care who says what about what, Verlander is still a Top 5 starting pitcher.

I don't have much of a gripe with all the statistical analysis that's done, but Verlander had the third-highest WAR on the Tigers' starting staff (behind Scherzer and Sanchez). If you were to ask me who I'd want on the mound in the big game, let's just say it's the guy in this group who has the most syllables in his last name.
