Cool... I was just reporting a fact that would interest people about a former Brave in the "Around Baseball" section... I am one of the big fans of the trade and have let it be known. I still want Heyward to be a great player and he has been excellent this year.

That wasn't intended to be sarcasm or anything. I don't really care about the Heyward nonsense. I am just bringing up that Piscotty had a big game.

Another day goes by and you get to read about another Stl prospect waiting in the wings... Jeez those guys draft REALLY well.
 
Still can't believe Toronto got Donaldson for what they did, Beane should be pistol whipped for that one.

Wait, it's California so there's no pistols there. Caned? 40 lashes?

They lose guys to injury, they tragically lost Taveras last year, and it seems like they have two to replace each one.

On the subject of Heyward, the Cards, and his prospective millions . . . it's interesting to note that the two prospects in the pipeline who could replace Heyward (Grichuk and Piscotty) are both just two years younger than he is.

Did they get better when Pujols left town and Waino went down and moving Shelby this offseason?
 
Well I think for starters they actually care about trying to find hitters. So step one is to have a wish to improve your offense.
