What was wrong with Trout back in 09? He went mid 20s. A ton of teams overlooked him. Looking back though the Angels had a good couple rounds in that draft.

I mean, that always happens. But he wasn't a prospect like Schwarber was coming out of the draft, for a couple of reasons. We didn't pass on Schwarber, or any one that caliber of prospect.

IIRC, he was overlooked because he played in the North East and he just simply didn't play as much as players from warmer climates.

Schwarber, yet another example of why you draft the guys you like not according to "experts" rankings. Ranked 18th and drafted 4th. Horrible value if you ask me.

Strasburg's been good since coming off the DL but Bumgarner's the best big game pitcher in baseball.
