Where?
Dodgers signing Will Smith to a 10 year, 140 million dollar extension per Passan. Robbery.
Robbery by who?
He's a 4 WAR catcher that is about to turn 30 tomorrow. We just signed Murphy for 6 years and 73 million a year ago when he was 27.
I realize the Dodgers have more money than Jesus, but these awful contracts they have been handing out recently are gonna bite them in the ass sooner rather than later.
It's probably lower on the CBT tax, but 10 years seems wild for someone nearing 30, at a position like catcher. I do agree some of these contracts will eventually bite them in the ass though. Friedman wont be there to clean up the mess.
Flags fly forever though.
even the ones with asterisk?
Flags fly forever though.
Flags fly forever though.
And yet they have 1 flag in a COVID shortened season that everyone discounts lol.
It's gonna be so fun watching them choke again.
Also, how the freak are the Dodgers and Padres back to playing ST games after already starting the season? Whose bone headed idea was that?
They’ve done that before. I remember back in, like 2004, the Yankees and Blue Jays opened up in Japan and then went back to Florida to play a week more of ST games. Never understood it.

So players don't lose their timing before the season starts. It's important to keep your timing before playing in games that matter.
