Well, this kinda sucks. ARI was the team I most wanted to pursue Shelby. Their FO is not formidable and they have good positional talent. Can't wait to see the $ on this.

Wow. D-Backs snatch Greinke away from the Dodgers.

Dodgers could be getting desperate.

Rosenthal said they'll go after the second tier of arms if Greinke went elsewhere.

Iwakuma, Cueto, Kazmir, Leake, Shark still out there, plenty of options for LA

Dodgers should target Leake. That would swing the balance of power in the West and put the Giants in the scramble mode. With Hudson and Lincecum going or gone, the SF rotation is getting a bit thin.

Sources: #Dodgers “intrigued” by Cueto. Interested in Iwakuma. Reached out today to agents for Cueto, Kazmir, Samardzija.

Wonder how this shapes up Cueto's market, gotta figure LAD/SF are in on him now.

Seriously? They just signed arguably the best Pitcher in baseball, are still in on second-tier starters like Leake, and STILL have every bat they've quietly stockpiled.

Yes, I think the ARI front office is one of the worst in MLB. This move reflects poorly on their judgment, IMO. If they sign Mike Leake, I have every confidence they will overpay in years and money.

Dave Stewart has been GM for a little over a year. He's had almost nothing to do with assembling their young organizational talent.

Why would anyone WANT to play in AZ? Surprised he didn't choose LA or SF.
