Good debate on twitter.

If you are Hurdle, do you hold back Cole.

It's a tough task as it stands.

You have to beat Cueto, hope Wainwright whose usually money in these situations lose.

And you burn Cole who cant go in the play-in game.

You're left with Locke vs Stl if the above happened, or Volquez on short rest.

If you burn Cole, you cant pitch Liriano or Cole vs SF.

You can really only pitch Volquez or Locke, i'd save Cole and whatever happens, happens.

mariners have king felix going sunday, holland, a tough lefty, faces a's. seattle, down only a game now, has a shot.

If Seattle, Pittsburgh and Kansas City all win Sunday, and Oakland, St. Louis and Detroit all lose, we'll have three games Monday. Pretty crazy.

Here are some words I never thought I would ever type: Brian McCann pinch-running

McCann called to pinch-run for Derek Jeter after he got an infield single.

Well, so much for chaos. Playoff matchups set.

NL
WC game: Giants at Pirates
NLDS: Giants/Pirates vs. Nats
NLDS: Cardinals vs. Dodgers

AL
WC game: Athletics at Royals
ALDS: Athletics/Royals vs. Angels
ALDS: Tigers vs. Orioles

Cuban 2b Jose Fernandez defected from Cuba and should be able to sign with a team in 3-4 months. He is 26(I think) left handed hitter who is said to be an on base machine with an advanced approach to hitting. He struck out only 10 times in 314 at bays last year in Cuba. He is a left handed hitter with average power, below average speed, and average defense for second. He really sounds like what we need on this team.

Also the Angels are considering using Cory Rasmus as a starter next year after a few good spot starts late this year. Really amazing how far he has come after so many injuries early in his career. Wish we still had him.

He sounds like Tommy La Stella.

Gregor Blanco and Infante, former Braves whipping boys most said could not or should not start, now both starting in the WS, and still not hitting.

I don't recall either of those guys being whipping boys, especially not Infante. I think the organization ran hot and cold on Blanco, but not to the extent he was hammered by anyone.

I'm really curious to see how Blanco does in arbitration and whether or not the Giants deem it too much of a risk to pay him. I would guess that they will hang onto him, but I wouldn't be surprised to see him get $4 million for 2015.
