I'm glad Brian Kenny just took the time (with WAR stats) to break down why the Nats outfield was better than the Braves outfield this year.

Brian, guys at MLB Network, I'm sorry the Nats blew this year. It's going to be OK.

Heyward was terribly unlucky in the first half, then had an appendectomy, and then had his jaw broken. Justin Upton was either Barry Bonds or Jose Costanza this season.

BJ was trying to be the worst hitter ever.

Our outfield had some very unfortunate circumstances and hitters hitting well below their potential.

It is amazing we made the playoffs. Ironic (in light of this discussion) how the Nationals played a huge role in us making it.

And yet we are paying both BJ Upton and Uggla more than the D-Backs are paying Prado.

I like Prado quite a bit and I agree that he's stretch at what the D-Backs are paying him, but his contract isn't horrid.

Obviously it could be worse. I think his versatility adds a good bit of value for him although I am under the impression he really wanted a set position to play. What I find really crazy is that he is paid 11 million to play 3B. If I were paying him 11 million it would be to play 2B. He actually looked good enough at SS that I might even try him there for an extended period too.
 
Matt Harvey to undergo TJ.

Right move,was never gonna heal back to 100% without surgery.
