Around MLB 2016 style

I've noticed that. He's fantastic and absolutely one of the funnest pitchers to watch.

I'm just curious how his approach will age. Hopefully, tragically awful.

Strange case because his velocity has increased over the years defying logic. You would have to assume at some point, he's going to have to change his approach. I would guess he would still be pretty successful because he still has good movement and can locate 4 pitches. But you would think at some point he's going to have to be less aggressive and mix it up more.

who said this year would be any fun to watch?
can I get some quotes? or is it more made up BS from you?
I think it was last year that we were going to be the girl that was fun to dance with. As for this year the front office claims to have taken some sort of collective vow not to allow a repeat of 2015.

I legitimately thought the first half or so of last year was better than watching the 2014 team. part of that was having expectations for one and not the other.

but i don't think anyone thought that this year would be any fun. it was pretty apparent it would be very rough.

but i also don't really care what the FO says to the media as I find it pretty irrelevant and meaningless.

Yeah, they did. Repeatedly.

Strikeouts = no fun.

Contact and speed = fun.

lol, you guys are great.
i think contact and speed like the Royals had last year is fun. I also think homers are fun, but not at the expense of being top 5 in strikeouts.
but no one said "no power is fun!" again, it's just twisting words to make your point.

No Power * Aybar = no fun

(no power - Aybar) * (Swanson + Ozzie) = fun

I think my math is right.. anyone care to check it... you might need a pi in there.. pi is always fun.

Dude. It was said, on multiple occasions, how fun to watch last year's team was. The reason given for this was because they didn't strike out. Not sure what conclusion I'm supposed to be drawing here.

At least one person specifically said that power was not fun and speed and contact was, and he had several chime in supporting his position.

Well thethe said a lot of crazy things. At one point last year he claimed Hart had forced Wren to draft Braxton Davidson. I wonder what he would say now given Davidson's struggles.

I forgot about that one. :Gasp:

He is so interesting to watch. Fangraphs mentioned he throw more fastballs down the pipe than anyone yet batters miss like a third of the time on the pitches. So, he can look absolutely dominating through an entire game, but give up 2 homers. (though he HR/FB is insanely high right now)

It's also probably why he's given up the most HR in the league since the halfway point last year.

He was unbelievable last night...but he's been pretty bad this year overall.
