I'm not that enamored by Torres thus far... he's very young and very toolsy, but he could be a bit overhyped.

He's potentially really good but Cubs have a very good team now.

And they have Russell, Baez among many other position prospects under control for awhile.

Cubs have Russell so hes blocked.

Cubs still have the likes of Eloy, Happ, Almora, Baez, Contreras as younger position players.

It's a fine move if Chapman inks the rumored deal.

it makes sense for us to get him. But the Mets would massively overpay for him. No doubt. I like Chapman, but I feel like the Cubs are about to be thrown over the washer on this one

Yeah, outside of having Heyward stop sucking, a lock down closer is their only real need.
